The Rights of Children

Children have the right to food that will keep them healthy and allow them to grow.

Children have the right to warm, safe shelter from the elements.

Children have the right to safety in their homes.

Children have the right to be free from fear, especially in their own homes.

Children have the right to adults who provide for their physical and emotional needs, without expecting ANYTHING in return, EVER.

Children have the right to at least one male adult role model.

Children have the right to at least one female adult role model.

Children have the right to be listened to by adults that are interested in what they have to say.

Children have the right to be the centre of attention every now and then.

Children have the right to adults that put the child's needs ahead of their own.

Children have the right to play.

Children have the right to use their imaginations.

Children have the right to make a lot of noise from time to time.

Children have the right to exercise.

Children have the right to relationships with people of the same age.

Children have the right to freedom from physical, emotional, verbal, sexual abuse, at all times, everywhere.

Children have the right to be shielded from exposure to sexual experiences that they are not be ready for.

Children have the right not to have to provide emotional, financial, physical support to adults.

Children have the right to not need to get a job in order to pay for their basic needs.

Children have the right to learn to read.

Children have the right to ask ANY question.

Children have the right to cry.

Children have the right to be immature.

Children have the right to make mistakes.

Children have the right to not worry about being in style.

Children have the right to a community committed to their safety.

Children have the right to never experience war.

Children have the right to experience a faith community.

Children have the right to ministers who are dedicated to teaching them about God.

Children have the right to the best possible medical treatment for their illnesses, free.

Children have the right to decide for themselves what they want to grow up to be.

Children also have the right not to decide until they are adults.

Children have the right to live.

Children have the right to be happy.

All children have the right to know God's love, by being loved by the people around them; that's how they're learn that God IS love.
